In 1965, Woods introduced the first Batwing® rotary cutter and our Turf Batwing® wide area finish mower is built on that legend. The rear discharge Turf Batwing series provides the quality, durability, and productivity the commercial mowing professional demands.
Using the basic deck from the PRD finish mowers, loads of premium features, like cast iron spindle pulleys with taper-lock bushings and tapered roller bearings on the spindles, offer long life and durability. Blade mountings, using a cross bar design, add strength with reduced flex for an improved cut. The "trailer" design includes dual beam A-frame deck supports and the splitter gearbox driveline extends to a carrier bearing, rather than using a long, less maneuverable driveline extending all the way to the tractor PTO.
